The Artists

Known chiefly as a propagandist for the errant, disobedient brushstroke, painter David Schoffman has scavenged the art historical canon for an unclaimed trope. His obscure and uneven output is further evidence that discipline and hard work ensure neither significance nor accomplishment.

Former éminence grise of the Latin American avant-garde, Micah Carpentier left an indelible mark on what has become known as the Cuban Escuela de Suciedad. His “Song
of Degrees", a series of 500 drawings on discarded paper bags remains a touchstone for those to whom detritus is a preferred medium.

Roué, bon-vivant Currado Malaspina has fashioned an aesthetic based solely on his sybaritic appetites. A longtime fixture of the 5th arrondisement, his legendary excesses are matched only by his prodigious mastery and discreet sense of taste.
